A rather grand and complete 70 piece dinner service. By sampson bridgwood & sons (anchor pottery) in the 1930#’s art deco period. Creamy white with gold edge, bands of dark red and small dark red red roses. 12 dinner plates – 26 cm diameter – with small chip to edge. 12 salad plates – 23 cm diameter. 12 small plates – 17 cm diameter – 1 with small chip to edge. 12 cereal/soup/dessert bowls – 19 cm diameter. 2 oval platter 36 cm long. 2 oval platter 31 cm long. 2 oval platter 28.5 cm long. 2 sauce/gravy boats with stands. 2 small lidded tureens with stands – 13.5 cm diameter – 1 much used with lots of crazing. 1 unrelated sauce ladle. 4 lidded tureens – 31 cm diamter – 1 is badly crazed with a repaired knob to lid and a crack in one side. Most are in excellent condition, some have slight sign of use. Bad damage is mentioned above. Considering the sets age and use it is generally in a good condition.
