Rare 1930’s art deco mexican silver tea set with teapot cream sugar and original tray. The pot and the creamer have lovely dark burled wood handles. The four pieces are silver plated, and the tray has a slight uplift on both ends which serves as a handle so the tray doesn’t sit flush with the surface. Fully signed on the bottom so please enlarge the photo. I’ve not been able to find anything close to this anywhere. Hecho en mexico, i m p, plado and 854. Must say it also has a mid century modern feel about it. Condition: really lovely vintage with a small dle on the creamer and the sugar. Didn’t even notice right away and one of the photos shows this. The lidded sugar has tiny spots on it. Didn’t over-clean but took all the black oxidization off, so you can leave it or take it to another level depending on your taste. Size: approx pot is 4 3/4 inches tall x 7 3/4 inches wide and 10 inches including the handle, creamer is 4 1/2 inches wide and 7 3/4 inches including the handle. Lidded sugar is 3 1/2 inches tall x 3 1/2 inches across. Tray measures 17 inches long x 9 inches wide. This item is made of mexican silver plate and burled wood handles.
